How Deejay Studio collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website and services.

Last updated: May 6, 2026

Introduction

Deejay Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at https://deejay-studio.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit the Site, submit a booking or contact form, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with our services related to professional DJ and event entertainment (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Site or providing information to us, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit personal data through it.

1. Who we are

For purposes of data protection laws, Deejay Studio is the data controller for personal information processed through the Site and ordinary business operations described here, unless we state otherwise (for example, where a processor acts strictly on our instructions).

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

  • Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number, and similar details you enter on contact or booking forms.
  • Event & inquiry details: event type, date or timeframe, venue or location notes, guest count (if provided), budget or package interest, playlist or genre preferences, and any message or free-text you submit.
  • Communications: content of emails, texts, or other messages you send us, including follow-ups about quotes, contracts, or event logistics.
  • SMS opt-in (where offered): when you provide a mobile number and clearly consent—via a labeled checkbox on our booking or contact forms, or by texting an advertised keyword (such as START) to our business number—we collect your phone number and related opt-in records for SMS as described in Section 5.
  • Admin / CMS data (if applicable): if you are authorized to use our internal tools, we may process account identifiers and usage tied to those tools.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device & log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies & similar technologies: identifiers stored on your device to remember preferences, maintain sessions, measure performance, and reduce abuse. See Section 6.

2.3 Information from others

We may receive limited information from partners (for example, your venue or planner) if they share your contact details to coordinate an event, or from email/SMS providers in connection with message delivery metadata.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information for purposes including:

  • Responding & quoting: to answer inquiries, confirm availability, prepare proposals, and negotiate services.
  • Contract & delivery: to perform agreed DJ and related event services, coordinate timelines, and communicate before and during events.
  • Customer support: to resolve issues, handle feedback, and maintain our relationship with you.
  • Site operation & improvement: to secure the Site, debug errors, understand aggregate usage, and improve layout, content, and performance.
  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, and detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Marketing (where permitted): to send service-related notices or, where you have opted in or law allows, promotional messages you can opt out of.
  • SMS (with consent): to send text messages in line with your opt-in and our SMS Terms, including informational or promotional content where permitted.

We do not use booking inquiry data to build unrelated advertising profiles beyond what is described here, and we do not sell your personal information as “sale” is commonly defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract: processing necessary to respond to your request or perform a contract with you.
  • Legitimate interests: securing our Site, improving services, and communicating with you in expected ways, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent: where we ask for clear consent (for example, certain cookies or marketing), you may withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required by applicable law.

5. Text messages (SMS) & opt-in consent

End users may opt in to receive SMS messages from Deejay Studio LLC by submitting their phone number through the Studio's website booking or contact forms and checking a clearly labeled consent box agreeing to receive SMS communications. Users may also opt in by texting a keyword such as START to the Studio's business number after being prompted via marketing materials or social media.

During the opt-in process, users are informed about the types of messages they will receive, message frequency, and that standard message and data rates may apply. Links to our Terms, Privacy Policy, and SMS Terms are provided at the time of opt-in to ensure informed and verifiable consent.

6. Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for essential Site functions (such as security and load balancing), to remember preferences (for example, display settings where offered), and to understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect Site functionality. For analytics or non-essential cookies, we will align with applicable consent requirements in your region where required.

7. Sharing & disclosure

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers: hosting, email delivery, calendar or CRM tools, payment processors (if you pay online), and IT support—only as needed to perform services on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
  • Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, or insurers when confidential and necessary.
  • Legal & safety: regulators, law enforcement, or others if we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard protections.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries that may not provide the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to fulfill contracts, resolve disputes, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary: for example, inquiry emails may be kept for several years for business records unless a shorter period is required by law or you request deletion subject to exceptions.

10. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. These include access controls, secure hosting practices, and staff awareness where applicable. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

United States (state privacy laws): Residents of certain states may have additional rights (for example, to know categories of data collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain sharing). We honor applicable requests as required by law. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

To exercise rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

12. Children’s privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. Human review applies to booking and contracting decisions.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy where law allows.
